Sweden’s Pretties for You are one of those bands that just have it all; a gorgeous lead singer reincarnated as Kate Bush, singing beautiful songs into the dark night. Where new wave meets indie rock, Blondie for today; they’ve taken that Swedish pop sound and made it cool, as if they kidnapped Max Martin and threw him into a “hip machine,” then put him at the mixing desk. With musical influences from Arcade Fire, the National, Radical Face, and the Knife, to American rock icons such as Bruce Springsteen, Patti Smith, and Fleetwood Mac, PFY are a wall of song and sound.
